Dear Friends,
Today we remember the nearly 3,000 lives taken 25 years ago. We remember the families who have carried that loss every day since and the first responders who ran toward the danger and never came home.
The tragic events of September 11th painfully reminded us that our freedom is fragile and that its defense demands consistent vigilance. But it also taught us that when this nation is tested, Americans do not hesitate.
Within days of the brutal attack, recruiting offices across America were flooded. A generation made up their minds without being asked — thousands of Americans chose their nation over themselves.
Their service is the enduring answer to September 11th. The willingness of ordinary Americans to carry the burden forward, year after year, so that what happened that morning would never happen again.
25 years later, that responsibility has not diminished — it has grown. The threats facing America are real, evolving, and demand the same resolve.
Today we honor every life lost, every first responder who answered when called upon to act, and every service member who carried that morning with them into battle.
Their sacrifice is not forgotten. It is the foundation we stand on.
We will never forget. God Bless the United States of America.
Signed,
Veterans On Duty
