50th Anniversary of the End of the Vietnam War

Dear Friends,

This week marks 50 years since the end of the Vietnam War—a moment of reflection for our country, especially for the veterans who carried its weight. For years, American service members fought in distant lands, driven by duty, loyalty, and a commitment to something greater than themselves.

The war’s end was more than a military milestone—it was a turning point. When the United States stepped back, the world took notice. That moment sent a lasting message: when America retreats, the enemies of freedom advance.

That lesson continues to shape how generations of veterans see the world. We know that democracy doesn’t defend itself, and that abandoning a fight—no matter how difficult—has real consequences. It risks not only our credibility, but the people and ideals we leave behind.

At Veterans on Duty, we don’t see the Vietnam generation as just a chapter in our history—they set the standard for what service means. Honoring them means following through by standing firm for the values they fought to protect, supporting those in uniform today, and staying committed to our responsibility to defend freedom—at home and abroad.

Follow Veterans on Duty on X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and subscribe to our newsletter to join our fight to defend the American way of life. Together, we can ensure our military remains the world’s greatest fighting force—protecting liberty and democracy for all.

Signed,
