A Statement from Veterans On Duty on the U.S. Service Members Killed In Action In Jordan
Veterans On Duty mourns the loss of the three U.S. service members killed in the attack at the Jordanian-Syrian border at the hands of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We offer our heartfelt condolences to their loved ones and fellow service members, and we pray for the health of the dozens of additional U.S. service members injured in this attack.
Sadly, this outcome is the predictable result of years of the Biden Administration appeasing the regime in Tehran and failing to take seriously attacks from Iran and its proxies throughout the Middle East. President Biden must take immediate action against Iran and its proxies to truly reestablish deterrence. It is clear that the Administration’s tit-for-tat strikes against Iranian proxies have failed to impact the regime’s decision-making.
President Biden and his senior national security officials have failed to keep our troops safe, and they have seriously undermined U.S. national security interests. Let us hope that it does not take the deaths of more American heroes for the Biden Administration to recognize the reality of this grave situation.
