Never Forget October 7th

Dear Friends,

On this day, we remember the horrific attacks of October 7, 2023—when Hamas terrorists invaded Israel, murdering more than a thousand innocent people, taking hundreds of hostages (including Americans), and leaving an indelible scar on the Jewish state. It was among the darkest days in Israel’s history.

The barbarity of October 7 can never be forgotten or excused. Hamas must be held fully accountable for its crimes.

Two years later, Israel remains under threat. Terrorist groups armed and funded by Iran—Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis—continue their campaign of violence. Rockets still rain from Gaza and Lebanon, missiles are launched from Yemen, and here in the United States, extremists on college campuses openly glorify the atrocities of that day.

The same forces that seek to destroy Israel also aim to weaken the United States and the values that bind free nations together. When Israel stands strong, America and the democratic world must stand with her—for if their security and freedom are endangered, so too are ours.

As veterans who have defended freedom, we know peace is possible only when terrorism is defeated, not rewarded. The future we seek is one where Israelis live in safety and dignity—but that future will come only when Hamas is decisively defeated.

As negotiations continue in Egypt, we urge American and Israeli leaders to approach any agreement with the utmost caution.

We remember the victims of October 7, pray for the safe return of those still held captive, and commit ourselves to ensuring such barbarity never happens again. May the memory of the innocent lives lost be a blessing, and may the day soon come when peace and security triumph over violence and hate.
